Meet Toaster Strudel! 🐾

Toaster is an adorable 8-month-old, approximately 30-lb puppy who is starting to show us just how sweet and silly he is in foster care.

New situations can make Toaster a little unsure, especially outdoors, but once he's somewhere he feels safe, his personality comes shining through. He loves being around his people, lounging on his giant dog bed, and playing with his toys.

And this boy LOVES squeaky toys! Give him a good squeaker and he'll happily entertain himself while you hang out nearby.

Toaster has been wonderfully gentle with our children, including our 7-month-old baby, whom he likes to give very polite kisses. He's also cat safe—in fact, he's much more likely to run away and hide from a cat than chase one!

He's crate trained, settles beautifully in his crate, rides well in the car, and has shown great house manners so far. He's food motivated and already seems to know "sit" and "drop it," so we're excited to see what else this smart little guy can learn.

Toaster is still figuring out that the big outside world isn't so scary, and we're helping him build that confidence one step at a time.

He's a sweet, playful puppy who just needs a little patience while he learns that he's safe. ❤️
