Wickham

Wickham is a giant ball of personality with an even bigger heart! This sweet, goofy boy sometimes forgets just how big he is - especially that giant head of his - but there isn't a mean bone in his body. More than anything, Wickham just wants to be loved and spend time with his people.

He's a happy-go-lucky guy who loves belly rubs, treats, and soaking up all the attention he can get. Wickham enjoys going for walks and exploring, but he's just as happy to take a break - preferably curled up as close to you as possible (don't be surprised if he tries to make himself a lap dog!).

Wickham walks well on leash and has been non-reactive when passing other dogs. While his compatibility with other dogs is still unknown, he might be more curious than confrontational - still TBD. He also shows interest in squirrels, so a home without cats or small animals would likely be the best fit due to his size and playful nature.

Meeting new people? That's one of Wickham's favorite things! He greets everyone with enthusiasm, rides well in the car, and is an all-around ham who loves making people smile (plus his smile is pretty contagious!).

An active home with a fenced yard would be ideal to help him burn off some energy, but if you're able to walk him enough, he'd love that too Wickham could also benefit from continued training and basic manners, but he's eager for treats and attention, making him a great candidate for positive reinforcement training.

Like many dogs, Wickham is experiencing shelter stress and will need a patient adopter who can give him time to decompress and settle into home life. Because he's such a big, playful boy who doesn't always realize his size, he would need training to keep 4 on the floor if going to a home with small children.

Wickham is an incredibly loving dog who has so much to offer. All he needs is someone willing to give him the chance he deserves.
